I'm pleasantly surprised with how your entry turned out; if not for the brass and vocals in the later parts, I could see this being a decently nice video game shop theme. The brass is still nice for what it is though, albeit I do think you were better off leaving out the vocals at the end. May the best artist win!

To have a full piece with original lyrics written and performed in just the two-week window is really impressive IMO (believe me, I've tried, albeit under circumstances that didn't insist on it so strictly), and overall I think this is a solid piece! Confident though I may admittedly be that I may win our matchup, you got my respect with this if you end up beating me in this round. May the best artist win!

...as far as the music goes though, I'm admittedly a bit disappointed in this one, or at least relative to its predecessor I am. Shares most if not all of the same soundfont and so the relation is clear in that way, but composition-wise, the vibe just isn't the same; while I confess I'm not sure I'd do well enough myself at this if I was in your shoes, I don't really think this one carries that pure happy vibe the original had, which was really what made that track stand out to me and why by comparison this kinda feels like just another DJVI track to me (which is normally not a bad thing, don't get me wrong, but this being one of the rare times where you cite a personal inspiration for a track had me expecting a stronger emotional vibe from this one).
